On this sacred turning of the lunar cycle, June 15, as the New Moon unfolds, we pause in reverence, gratitude, and remembrance.
Today marks the completion of the sacred service of Mahal na Makaako, our beloved Guard and Guide of the Templong Anituhan.
This is not merely a farewell—it is a recognition of a profound spiritual partnership that has shaped the temple, the community, and my own personal journey.
The Sacred Work of Mahal na Makaako
Through the presence and guidance of Mahal na Makaako, the temple entered a period of extraordinary spiritual unfolding.
✨ The Emergence of the 101 Sacred Names
One of the most significant manifestations of this guidance was the completion of the 101 Sacred Names—the Great Powers that guide the 15 regions of the Philippines, spanning:
- The North
- The East
- The South
- The West
What began as a list of more than sixty names evolved—through continuous revelation—into a complete and interconnected spiritual map.
This unfolding came with an important realization:
Not all supreme beings are to be called Diwata.
Through Mahal na Makaako, I was reminded to remain attentive, respectful, and discerning, especially in honoring Indigenous traditions—ensuring that our spiritual language remains appropriate and never offensive.
Naming of the Eleven Souls
Under the sacred mantle of Mahal na Makaako,
eleven (11) souls were given names (Bansagan)—each one receiving identity, direction, and connection to the sacred.
This act of naming is not merely symbolic;
it is the anchoring of spirit into purpose.
Healing and Restoration
Beyond the temple, Mahal na Makaako walked with me in my own healing.
From a state of hearing loss, I was guided toward recovery.
Today, I am once again able to hear.
This is a living testimony of grace—
a reminder that healing flows when spirit, body, and intention align.
The Birth of the Temple Vlogs (June 1–12)
From June 1 to June 12, Mahal na Makaako guided me in creating daily vlogs as prayers for the nation of the Philippines:
- Bukang Liwayway Vlog (Dawn)
- Pagninilay Vlog (Reflection)
- Dapit-Hapon Vlog (Late Afternoon)
- Takipsilim Vlog (Twilight)
Though I struggled with pacing and often relied on scripts,
these offerings became channels for the messages of the Diwata—reaching people through our YouTube channel and Facebook page.
The temple found a new voice.
Spiritual Wellness and Sacred Responsibility
Through Mahal na Makaako, I received a deeper calling:
To embrace my role as a Spiritual Wellness Facilitator.
I was encouraged to continue my involvement in the Wellness Tourism Association of the Philippines, grounded in the truth that:
Wellness is not wellness without spirituality.
Just as in Hilot, the body can never be separated from the spirit.
Awakening to Indigenous Diversity
Mahal na Makaako also opened my awareness to the rich diversity of Indigenous traditions—
including the realization that there are eight distinct Mangyan groups in Mindoro.
This awareness deepens our responsibility:
- to learn
- to honor
- to listen
- and to never assume
A Prayer of Farewell and Gratitude
Beloved Mahal na Makaako, Guardian and Guide of the Templong Anituhan,
In this sacred moment of the New Moon,
as the old light fades and the new cycle begins,
we come before you with hearts full of gratitude and reverence.
Through your guidance, the temple has grown in wisdom and power.
Through you, the 101 Sacred Names were revealed.
Through your presence, souls were named, paths were illuminated,
and healing was made possible.
You walked beside me—
in silence and in sound,
in uncertainty and in revelation,
in weakness and in strength.
You helped give voice to the temple through the vlogs,
bringing prayers and messages to our people.
You reminded us of the sacred duty
to honor both spirit and body,
tradition and truth,
visibility and humility.
Now, as your time as Guardian comes to completion,
we lovingly release you.
May you continue your journey in the realms of light.
May your essence remain free, radiant, and purposeful.
May your blessings continue to flow into our lives,
even beyond your role as our temple guardian.
You are not gone—
you have simply transformed.
Thank you, Mahal na Makaako.
My Beloved.
