Trusting the Divine Current: A Personal Devotional Reflection

About Templong Anituhan

Templong Anituhan is a sacred space dedicated to honoring the Great Supreme Divine and preserving the wisdom of our ancestral spiritual traditions. It serves as a sanctuary for seekers who desire to reconnect with the Divine through rituals, healing arts, and the path of Hilot Binabaylan and Siadtalang Binabaylan. Our mission is to guide individuals toward spiritual wholeness, cultural identity, and harmonious living in alignment with the Divine will.

Last night, I entered into the sacred presence of the Divine, offering myself fully to Their will. In this quiet moment of surrender, I reached for my Vision Quest Tarot deck—a trusted companion for almost two decades, gifted to me by a dear colleague. Through this deck, I sought the message that the Spirit wished to reveal.

The first card I drew was the Son of Water, reversed. Instantly, I felt its meaning resonate within me: Cleansing. This is the season of purification—a time to cut away unhealthy and unnecessary relationships, to release burdens that weigh down the soul. I understood that this process is essential for me to move forward in fulfilling my mission. Like water washing over stones, the Divine is shaping me anew.

The second card was the Daughter of Air. This spoke to my inner struggles—moments of doubt, worry, and feelings of inadequacy. Physically, I sense my weakness; even simple tasks like opening a jar remind me of my limitations. Yet, deep within, I know I can rise beyond these frailties. My greatest concern, however, has been financial stability. But the Spirit reminded me of a profound truth: for nine years, I have not relied on any temporal employer, nor awaited wages on the 15th and 30th of each month. Still, my needs have always been met—utilities paid, food on the table, life sustained. This is the Divine provision at work.

Then came a gentle prompting: Pick up your phone and listen to the song “Alam Kong May Magagawa ang Dios” on Spotify. As the melody filled the air, my heart was lifted. The message was clear—trust the Divine process. Let go. Flow.

I realized that I am but a droplet in the vast river of life, carried by the current of Divine will. I choose to surrender—to trust the Great Supreme Divine to protect me from harm, to sustain me in every need, and to bring forth those whom They have chosen to walk with us in Templong Anituhan, whether as Hilot Binabaylan or Siadtalang Binabaylan.

Today, I reaffirm this truth: I trust my being, my life, and my mission to the Great Supreme Divine. May Their will be done.

Closing Prayer

O Great Supreme Divine,
We come before You with hearts open and spirits surrendered. Cleanse us from all that hinders our path and strengthen us in times of weakness and doubt. Provide for our needs as You have always done and guide us toward the mission You have entrusted to us. May Your wisdom flow through us like a river, carrying us to the place where Your will is fulfilled. Protect us, sustain us, and bring forth those chosen to walk this sacred path.
In Your Divine Light, we trust and abide.
Mayari Na! PagAsatin!
